Fully automatic trap, 400 target capacity magazine.
All aluminum , equipped with independent horizontal and vertical movement.
Horizontal adjustment 30 degrees to 90 degrees.

Being fitted with a solenoid guarantees instant target release.

The trap base is designed to fit exactly on the old Western Trap (USA) mounting platform using existing bolts.

Once the target trajectory has been set ; i.e. the zero position is set on the center line of shooting position 3 with equal angle (22.5 to 45 degrees) each side of this line, variation for windage is easily adjusted by simple lever using the same principal as the old Western Trap.

The horizontal oscillation has a timer for random stopping and starting to prevent the target trajectory being "readable" by the shooters. The horizontal movement can also be stopped in any selected position, within the oscillation arc, to enable a shooter to continually practice his "difficult" shots.

285DT AUTOMATIC DOUBLES
LAPORTE 285 DT Doubles Trap

The 285 DT machine was developed to throw a TRUE double and is the only trap that conforms precisely to ATA Regulations (American Trap Association). With a high-capacity magazine holding 900 targets, the trap fits inside a Standard Winchester Trap House. This is the only ATA Doubles Trap utilizing two separate throwing arms.
Target trajectories can be individually adjusted, unlike traps with one throwing arm. Horizontal, vertical and windage adjustments are easily and rapidly made.
The trap can be changed from throwing Doubles to Singles or Singles to Doubles easily. No adjustment of spring tension is required as with single throwing arm machines.
A unique computerized random oscillation and machine selection prevents the shooter from "reading" the trap in singles mode.
The trap can be used for "Fun Shoots" or in Sporting Clays by selecting Singles, Doubles, or Random mode where the trap will oscillate and randomly throw Single or Double targets.
